Ingredients:
- 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
- 3/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a bowl, whisk together gluten-free all-purpose flour, almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt
In another bowl, mix melted coconut oil, coconut sugar, maple syrup, applesauce, and vanilla extract until well combined
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms
Fold in dairy-free chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, if using
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft
Allow brookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
